Question: The process of converting sewage to drinking quality water would manufactures methane gas as a byproduct. Which can provide more energy than it would use
Answer: once an infrastructure is paid for the cost to pump through the great divide is not going to cost more and not that bigger problem (a strategic tunnel through the Dividing range is nowadays not a problem just a cost which would have to happen with a river as well) The energy would be provided/generrated would actually mean it would be cheaper with an income The plantation forest would also generate great wealth (The reckoning I have looked at is Tree plantations return at a rate of more than 14% compounding Added to this would be benefits to environment such as reducing CO2, reduce global warming problems, increase rainfall, cleaner air. salinity problems removed. Cleaner Rivers, Healthy water ways, more frogs. less bush fires. more employment, clean beaches, Increased Fish populations both sea and rivers/lakes. (hese are still only a very small part f direct benifits to Australia)
