Question: you'd rather ingest 100% plastic than take a chance that one of it's ingredients may "imprint" water?
Answer: If you're suspicious about the water, you could use Berkey water filter to filter the water for washing, but may not be worth the trouble, since the water is being spun off in the salad go-round. I recommend a home made vinaigrette with an oil mixture that is 80/20 extra virgin olive oil and flax seed oil and water and apple cider vinegar in the usual proportion to the oil. So, as you can see, your kitchen consists of a 5-gallon bucket, a salad bowl, a salad spinner, two kinds of oil, two kinds of vinegar, several bottles of spices, and possibly an ice chest. The ice chest lets you keep salad fixings for a couple of days that wouldn't keep otherwise, if fewer trips to the store is desire. When you go for food, go for ice as well. Or if you like to go by bicycle from the campground to the store or ice is expensive there, then have an ice maker plugged in at your campsite.
