Bottled Water Bad

Question:
Bottled water: Bad for the environment?

Answer: don't use that fancy imported water from Fiji, my bottled water comes from a spring in Virginia, so I don't think it takes quite as much to transport it. And I use a water service, so the bottles themselves are simply washed and reused, so no waste, and they are 5 gal bottles so the ratio of plastic to water is probably better too. Not sure if that offsets the truck that delivers them to me monthly, but since it's a regular route it's probably pretty efficient.

My well water has magnesium and it gives me kidney stones. Never had one in my life until about four years after moving out here. Then I had one. Ouch. The nurses in the ER told me it's more painful than having a baby. Whatever, I didn't argue, especially after getting the morphine drip (but now I don't let women pull that "you don't have babies" line out to top me when the topic of pain is discussed). I saw the stone and it was the same color as the magnesium stains on my toilets. However, stoopid d00k hospital Doogie Howser ER doc lost it, so it was never analyzed.
