Bottled Water Plants

Question:
The bottled water plant of the Dhaka Water Supply and Sewerage Authority was inaugurated on Sunday. IDEAS?

Answer: The bottled water of WASA will play a vital role in keeping up to the mark the standard of bottled water available in the market, Bhuiyan said adding the 'high-quality' water of this modern plant would create a healthy competition in the market. The price will be relatively less than the existing bottled water in the market, he said. The WASA chairman, Abdullah Harun Pasha, presided over the function addressed, among others, by local lawmaker SA Khaleq, secretary of the Local Government Division Zahurul Islam, and WASA acting managing director, Hedayet Ullah Al- Mamun. WASA took the project with the aim to keep an influence in the existing market of bottled water in terms of price so that consumers can get the bottled water at a competitive and reasonable rate, the sources said adding the bottling of water from production and refining would be done through automatic machines. Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha adds: Initially, WASA will supply this fresh drinking water in half litre to five litre bottles to the market at Tk 7 for half litre, Tk 10 for one litre, Tk 14 for one and half litre, Tk 17 for two litres and Tk 32 for five litres. The Tk 17 crore project will later supply 20 litre bottles, officials said
