Bottled Water Testing

Question:
I need to vent. last evening on the local news there was an article about water quality. They gave a link on their web site that led to the EPA water quality results for any area. You find your county, and then your city comes up with a list of other cities. When I clicked on my little area, I found out that our water has failed the water quality test for years, and there isn't even one of record since 1998!

And get this...... it's full of coliforms! (possibly human or animal waste products!) And the immediate effects are stomach flu like symptoms. Long term: kidney and liver disease. And guess what?! This reservation has an incredibly high rate of dialysis and diabetes!

No warning....... no notice....... no advice: "Please boil your water."

I am now boiling my water!

I contacted the EPA who told me to contact my senator who could help to expedite matters. This is scary. Is it just me?!

Answer: I checked my city's water and come to find out that in 92/93 there was coliform in the water and that a public notice was requested. Well I never saw one! Also the water has been tested consistently for lead and copper, this could explain the replacement for all our sewer and water pipes...infrastructure my arse. I haven't drank the water outside of small sips in at least a decade, never could cotton to the bad taste and smell. Hmphf to all who laughed at me and claimed I was paranoid. I am not a happy camper.

Now does anyone know where to find bottled water testing. I'm paranoid about that too
