Question: We moved yesterday and his bowls (2) of water where dry today...it seems he's been drinking a lot of water lately.
Answer: sounds like it could be diabetes...'dry food' is the absolute worst, the carbs are so high in dry food, something the natural carnivore doesn't need or process well... i would highly suggest you get your cat to the vet...my younger calico was recently diagnosed with diabetes, and the low water dishes were the first symptom i noticed... Drinking alot of water is not normal for cats. It may be diebetes or kidney failure. I would get to the vet. You need to get off dry food and on a good canned food or raw diet. If he won't change off dry get a natural one like felidae or Eagle Holistic and substitute with yogurt and cantelope that has more water in it I was responding to the fact that the cat was changet to all dry died. My first preference would be all canned or raw or home cooked to get water in the system to keep kidneys flushed. My first choice wouldn't be dried, but some people don't want to change and some cats won't either. Very small meals and low protein is important. Really my first choice in dry food is Felidae. I think it is a really good food. I have had really good results with it. Sorry for amy confussion
