Question:
An honest salescritter! One of the last of the breed! Too many of the telecom/networking salescritters I've come across can't answer the question "How are you?" without talking to the SE first.... Arn't you guys supposed to change the company name again this year

Answer: It's because I'm not really a telco guy from way back. I sold on the IT side for years before coming here a year and a half ago, and as we all know, the guys that sell on the IT side are all very honest. It's just in the genes. Don't know about changing the name - after all we're just now finally establishing our identity as a drinking water company... oh - no - wait - I think it's that we're just now getting the word out that we're *not* a drinking water company... But after soooooo many years, I'm burned out. My job has in the last 10 years been involved with the US Government. It gets technical....but you know what really bothers me now? Seeing the shipments that we have to provide an escort for. Seeing all the government bills of ladings coming in, and moving all the *personal effects aka household goods* into companies that provide storage for the military. Every time I see a young persons name and SS # on those bills of ladings (along with another zillon numbers, appropriations, LOCs etc, the government requires) I wonder if the young person will be back home, and have their stuff shipped back to where they will be re-assigned...I hope so...but know it won't happen that way all the time...
