Answer: According to the Lobab Province Branch of the National Turkmen Drinking Water Company, the water produced by this plant will be sufficient not only for the inhabitants of Lobab Province, but also for those living in the neighboring Turkmen provinces. Turkmenistan's first water purification plant was completed by the Iranian experts working for Mashhad's Water and Sewage Company in June 1999 which fetched Iran dlrs 14.5 million. That refinery has been producing 110,000 cubic meters of drinking water par day in Marv. It took the Iranian experts one year to finalize that project, and was considered by the Turkmen authorities as a successful project.
