Frigidaire Water Filter

Question:
I do not trust consumer reports anymore. I have seen to many crappy ratings. Remember you get what you pay for. there have been problems with leaking around the door with the frigidaire as with most front loaders. the neptune eliminates this with the water level staying below the door level. any ideas?

Answer: I have seen to many crappy ratings. Remember you get what you pay for. there have been problems with leaking around the door with the frigidaire as with most front loaders. the neptune eliminates this with the water level staying below the door level. Remember, sometimes you pay extra for a name (neptune). or the reputation. maytag is #1 And here it is not that much more. Plus I get a state tax rebate for the neptune. .and you are entitled to your opinion as to what you consider "#1". I consider $400 quite a bit more for a machine with inferior cleaning results and a design with a bad history. If you have money to burn, go for it. Read what another manufacturer of horizontal front loaders (Asko) has to say about the Maytag's inferior cleaning and tilted-axis design which has been tried before and discontinued. http://www.askousa.com/compare/home.html An Asko was my first choice for washers, but there are no dealers in my area, so I chose the Frigidaire.
