Will it count if I tell you how to commit perfect murders with a very high probability of not getting caught? I really do not want to kill private persons who have not harmed me so I will not go out and do.

Answer: Here goes.

1. Buy cyanide compounds mail order from a chemical supply house. It is done all the time. Cyanide's main use is processing metals.

2. Prepare a spray or paste of same, being very careful about how you handle it.

3. Go to the supermarkets in a city you do not live in and spray or smear the stuff on fruit and vegetables in the produce section.

4. Go home and hear about the mysterious deaths on the evening news cast.

The chance you you getting caught? Close to zero. That is because you did not have a specific motive for a particular victim. Random killings are the

hardest to solve precisely for that reason. The means you use does not point to you.

The same trick can be used to cook up binary nerve paralyzer, as did that whacko group in Japan. The only reason they got caught was that they were noisy about their nuttiness. If they were quiet they could have done it again and again.

Ditto for anthrax bacillus which can be bought commercially.

Ditto for botulin toxin which can be bough in small amounts and cultured. When you get 5 liters of the stuff dump it in the nearest reservoir and see the fun (NB. Drink only bottled water for a time thereafter or boil all water you drink).

None of these outrages will profit anyone but a terrorist (whose profit is not measured in rational terms anyway) but it can be done and the person doing it can get away with it. In fact there is not way to stop it or punish it and I am surprised it has not happened more often.

This is how someone * could * go on a crime spree and get away with it. The someone is not going to be me. I do not wish to target private individuals who have done me no harm.
