Bottled water question...

Question:
I'm preparing several ways for our "compound"to use water. Besides the various methods ofaccessing my well water, I want to keep asupply of DISTILLED or PURIFIED water onhand.

Most water today is stored in these dumbplastic jugs that deteriorate after about ayear. I can't find any glass bottled waterany longer.

What about these "fancy" water's that arein pop-like bottles. Do these bottles holdtogether for long periods without deteriorating?I was thinking of buying a bunch or cases from"Sam's Club".

Answer: I have "Stored" water in the cheap plastic bottles for 5 years withno worries except the water tastes a bit like plastic.

I did this as an experiment NOT for my main water stores but it seemedto store well.

They were stored in a dark cool place..

Checked on this today,.

15 dollar deposit on each 5 gallon bottle, and an 8.00delivery charge per bottle when they are empty.

Not too good of deal but this is:

Some of the Local Supermarkets here in Dallas are running aspecial on cases of one gallon containers of Ozarke, Oasis, and other Bottled waters.

There is 6 gallons to one cardboard case, and they cost .48cents each gallon.

The cases are extremely sturdy, and you cannot even buy a 6gallon container for $3.00.

$50.00will get you 16.6 cases which is almost 100 gallons. Itstores nicely in a closet and you can stack them 9 high without crushing the bottom box according to the label.

Just thought I would pass this on.
