Question: The City of San Francisco CA has outlawed bottled water because mostpeople don't recycle the plastic. It sure is a waste and takes a lot ofpetroleum to produce those bottles then they stay in the ecosystem forcenturies because they are not biodegradable.
Answer: we have here a situation which, on the face of it, seems utterly ludicrous. You have spring water fetched out of the ground where it has been for anuntold number of years. immediately they bottle it, it gains a shelf life, according to the 'use by' date given on the bottle. But we are told it isnot the water which has shelf life, but the plastic container ! Maybe they rebottle it in new plastic. Or maybe they just take offthe label and put a new label on with a different sell by date! Idon't trust these companies. We bought a bottle of water in Arkansaswhere the beautiful Ozark Mtns. are. It was called "Ozarka" water. They want you to think the water came from a pure spring way up in themountains. The label says the water is from two places in Texas andis bottled in Connecticut!
