Question:
We travel with a guide dog, and we need water that is not desalinated.

Is there anywhere near the port where we can buy a couple of bottles of"water" so that our dog can quench her thirst before the crew begins toattend to our 'fridge?

Answer: It has been a couple of years since I was at the San Diego Port butthere is a deli/pizza place across the street that had coolers ofsoda/water.Also there is a Holiday Inn directly across the street that has a"gift" shop. They sell sodas, magazines and so on and I am sure thatthey would have bottled water.

Adjacent to the pier is a fast food grill and on the other side isAnthony's Fish Grotto which has a take out area. I would guess thatthese places would have bottled water available. There is a Ralph's market on F street but that is several blocks awayfrom the dock and considering the time you have/ the cost of a taxi Iwould guess that the Holiday Inn is probably your best bet.
