What are water conditioning fizz tabs for?

I just but a fighting fish and bought a bowl that came w/ some stuff and it came w/ 2 tablets of water conditioning fizz tabs what are they and do i put one in w/ the fish inside the bowl? just wanna know if its ok if i add the tab in the water w/ the fish inside cuz i had put the fish inside b4 coming here to findo out what the fizz tabs were

Answer: They are for getting all of the fatal chemicals out of the tap water. One should be placed inside everytime u change the water so ur fish don't die. However, i am not so fond of the tabs. i just put in a few drops of stress coat when i change the water. Stress coat is kinda pricy ($11.00) per bottle but its so worth it. 1 bottle lasts months.
