Question: We have a Whirlpool side-by-side with an ice and water dispensor plusa built in filter that's two years old. We just changed the filter andseveral days later noticed the water had small bits of white filmstuff floating in it. The best way I can describe it is small torn upbits of tissue paper - thin, opaque. A search on the net didn't helpat all. Anyone ever experience this? Calcium deposits in the line? We'rehooked up to city water and the refrigerator supply line comes off thekitchen sink cold water line. The water from the kitchen sink doesn'thave any gunk in it. Whirlpool was totally clueless on the matter as well as everyone elseI've asked - anyone here have the definitive answer?
Answer: You bet - we flushed it according to the manufacturer'srecommendations. The odd thing about it is, we know of another personwho has had this problem on a Whirlpool *without* a built in filter.Neither one of us can find anyone who knows what this is.
