Question: Has anyone had experience with whole-house Reverse Osmosis water softeningsystems? We have *extremely* hard well water, and are getting tired oflime-coated toilets and sinks and bathtubs. I'm interested in cost, maintenance, etc.
Answer: You might check on using a whole-house water softener to get rid of themineral content in your water. One of these units might be moreappropriate for the level of mineral content you seem to have. If you were so inclined, you could then get the reverse-osmosis filter toremove the salt from your drinking water lines.
